Problem with network coverage
Yesterday, I go to Batam, Indonesia for a company team building and decided to put my phone to an airplane mode to avoid a whooping charges for data roaming. It stayed whole day and left it inside my bag since I cannot use it while in Batam. By the way, I am using iPhone 4 :).
The night when I arrived back here in Singapore, I turned off the airplane mode and the phone tried to get the signal, but failed. I tried it several times tweeking through the settings but still none. I gave up and go to sleep but left my phone open hoping that it can get signal by tomorrow morning.
I woke up around 11am, Saturday, and still no network found! I get irritated coz I found it not normal for my phone not pick up any coverage. I tried to tweek the settings again, reboot it and anything but there is still none! I go to the internet and says hi again to my bestfriend Google and search for the answers. I found several forums, technical solutions and the others and tried the same techniques but still didn't work. I decided to combine some of the techniques I found and voila! My phone is back again!
Here's what I did:
1. Go to Settings -> General -> Enable 3G and set it OFF.
2. Reboot your phone.
3. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset - > Reset Network Settings ( It will reset all you wifi settings. ) The phone will restart on itself and now it can connect to your network coverage.
Thank God my phone is back!!! Yehey!!!
