Cebu Galore - Family is very important!

I am having a good time here in Cebu with my sister. We took one week vacation to spend some time with my family and to celebrate my father's birthday. This is the first time that we celebrated a member's birthday with the whole family for this past 5 years. My sister went abroad ( Taiwan ) to work five years ago and then went to Singapore after her contract ended in Taiwan. Since then, our family celebrates lacking with only one or two members. Last Wednesday, it was full of love and fun celebrating my father's birthday. All the members of the family are there and we also invited our family friends and relatives. With this experience, I learned that nothing compares with the love and joy that a family can give. There may be some quarrels and misunderstandings sometimes but it is the 'family' whom can accept you no matter what. God give you a family for you to cherish. I love Razonable Family. :)

Post-Valentine Dinner and Dance

Image
Our post-valentine dinner and dance was so fun and blessed. It was so fun because me and my caregroup co-members are enjoying our fellowship with each other celebrating the month of love. Of course, I am with my dearest love that day (uyy, cheesy...) Full of fun games and excitement most especially on the Word part that we were once again enlightened with the Love of God that nobody can fathom. From that topic, we were blessed inside and out. This Love of God is very extreme that He even sent His dearest Son to die for us at the cross. His death that saves us from death and to give us eternal life, with Him. Also, it was discussed on how you'll be able to show your love to Him and to your loved ones. I am not a 'showy' type of person when it comes to love. I admit that sometimes I am not that open and I just sometimes keep it to myself but rather do things that I know I can show my gratitude. To some, it maybe too less but I am just a bit shy. Oh well, but because of

Photoshop once again...

Image
I'm so glad our caregroup leader assigned me a task to design an invitation card for our upcoming Post - Valentines Dinner and Dance party. With this, I am able to refresh my photoshop skills because it has been long time since I touched the said software. I am now not quite familiar with this because I am now using Photoshop CS3 ( before, I was using Photoshop 6 and 7 ). Likely to say, some features are somewhat similar with the older versions but there are some which are new in this version. These are also easy to use as long as you know the features info behind it. I just can't remember the tips and tricks in Photoshop. Oh, I guess I need to review photoshop editing. Below are samples of my works: Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Final copy I know the images are almost the same but when you look it closely, you will see that there ARE differences. :) Not so professional though but I am still refreshing my skills.

Time Management

Are you too busy? No time for hanging out with old friends? No time to relax? You might need some time management.   Managing one’s own time is one’s own perspective and a matter of self-control. (Oh, what do you mean?) It is just how is going to do its time controllable with every task it may have for the entire day – from waking up in the morning and going to sleep at night. Let’s start with listing down all the activities to be done for a few days. Activities: 1.          Go to church 2.         Wash the clothes 3.         Go shopping 4.         Watch movie 5.         Buy some groceries   Then prioritize the items that are actually needed. For sure one choose to buy some groceries so that it can get some supplies at home and/or wash the clothes so that one can have something to wear in the next few days.   1.          Buy some groceries 2.         Wash the clothes …   After sorting out according to needs – the ’what to do first’ list, then now decide the ‘when to

My make up mentor

I am not a make up artist nor an expert in this field. I just learned my make up skills through this mentor I had – Michelle Phan. I found her while surfing on the net – YouTube to be exact. One day after submitting my home exam to our professor via email, I was just browsing and browsing on the net. There was nothing to search in particular. Then I browsed on YouTube and found her video. This video is entitled “Seductive Vampire”. I was so fascinated with her step by step tutorial and it was amazing. From then on, I followed her channel and watched all the videos on it everytime I find time. And now I am following her updates and new video posts for more tutorials. I even copied one of her make up styles during one of our events in church. Thanks to her because I can now put on make up well on my face and also be able to do on others. I can now even try on other styles on my own. Her video tutorials are very great. P.S. I am not her friend nor has any personal relationship with he

Advise vs. Advice

I honestly get confused with these two words especially on sending updates or for asking updates via email.                       ‘Please advise on the issue below.’                                    …and …                       ‘Please advice on the issue below.’ Now what is really the difference between the two? Actually, there are only two factors that differentiate between the two words: First, advise is a verb while advice is a noun.          Advise – (verb) give advice to; inform somebody of something;          Advice – (noun) recommendation or proposal for an appropriate course of action. Second, advise pronounced as “ud’vIz” while advice pronounced as “ud’vIs”. For example:                 Please advise on the issue below. (asking for an appropriate course of action)                 You can write on our school paper and ask for an advice . (opinion or suggestion)                 I advise Susan to take some vitamins. (suggests)                 Her ad
