Wisdom tooth extraction experience
I had my wisdom tooth finally pulled out. This was the one that grows on my upper right innermost part of my mouth. And since there is not much space for this new tooth, it grows 90° sideways towards my cheek. During its growth, I don't feel much pain but I did noticed it when I feel a bit awkward opening my mouth wide and there is something touching on my cheek - on that area. When I check on it, there I found the new tooth, going out. It was partially out that time so I just ignore it.
At last, the tooth is finally out. The form is the same as the normal ones but it is sideways. There, I am feeling a pinch of pain whenever I open my mouth. And I feel more pain in my jaw and it also affects my right ear. Sometimes, I can hear some clacking when I talk. So I said, that's it. I have to see a dentist.
Wednesday, I decided to go for a consultation to a clinic. Sadly, this clinic doesn't have a dentist. My bad, I should have gone to a dental clinic. Anyway, they prescribed me painkillers to ease the pain.
On that Saturday, I went to the dental clinic near our place. The dentist was kind of furious on why I didn't report it so soon. He honestly said that it is difficult to remove and may need to perform surgery costing around $500-$800. Uh oh, goodbye money... T_T but I scheduled an appointment on that Monday.
Returning home, I was preparing stuffs like food to me to eat after the extraction when my roommate noticed on what I am doing. I told her my plan of extraction and the whole story about it. Later did I realized that she is a nurse and working on a dental clinic-hospital. She recommended to proceed directly to their clinic. She also share some stories of complaints from patients of some private clinics regarding not so good extractions done to them.
So I went to their clinic - its C61 Dental Clinic at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by the way - around Monday morning and was attended professionally. It was there I found out that it is indeed difficult to remove but good thing it is now fully out. I have also found out that my gums are not that healthy and recommended to undergo a regular check up. I will plan to do that after the extraction. The tooth was pulled out and everything's went well, it doesn't need a surgery. Was I afraid? Yes, I was kinda afraid because I saw the tools! I just closed my eyes during the whole process! Haha! And the best part, everything including the x-ray only costs $93!!!
It's a very good thing I was informed about C61 clinic or else, goodbye $500. And also, it feels so amazing now that I have this tooth pulled out. I have that tooth on-hand. Shall I keep it? Hahaha!
I am just so happy. :)
